In a post titled "Hello hypervisor, I'm geohot," hacker George Hotz (already known in the iPhone community) has made a strong claim: that he has cracked the PS3. The system has remained (mostly) uncompromised for over three years now, with a few exceptions here and there. But, this one pledges full read/write access to the entire system memory and complete control over the processor -- all without a mod chip. Has he really done it, if so how, and what comes next? That all remains to be seen. This exploit supposedly "isn't really patchable, but [Sony] can make implementations much harder," meaning he isn't tipping his hat until he's ready, because once he does the never-ending firmware update war begins, and as we've seen on the PSP, Sony can really knock out those updates.

Hope this will be a kick start of hacked ps3 era~ hope it come fast~

Sony's Motion Controller Delayed Until the Fall

Sony has reportedly delayed its motion controller, pushing the device way back to the fall.

When it was announced last summer, Sony's PS3 motion controller was set for a Spring launch. However, yesterday Sony announced that it will be delaying the device's debut until the fall. President of Sony Computer Entertainment, Kazuo Hirai, hinted that the reason for the delay could be that, at the moment, there just aren't enough titles for the technology.

"We have decided to release the Motion Controller in fall 2010 when we will be able to offer an exciting and varied line-up of software titles that will deliver the new entertainment experience to PS3 users," Hirai said in a statement.

The delay could also have something to do with the fact that Microsoft's Natal platform is also set for release in time for the holiday period. Did Sony delay the launch in order to better compete with Microsoft's own motion sensing platform? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Stuart Hughes is back with another one of its crazily-priced gadgets, this time offering what it calls "the world's most expensive phone." This bank breaker is actually the Apple iPhone 3GS encased in 271 grams of 22ct solid gold. Seated around the gold casing's bezel are 136 "flawless" diamonds (color F whatever that means), equaling to a massive 68cts.

Not enough diamonds to dazzle your dots? Stuart Hughes has planted an additional 53 "flawless" diamonds into the rear Apple logo stamped into the gold casing, equaling to 1ct. On the front, the company mounted a single cut of a very rare diamond, equaling at 7.1cts. With all this glitter, diamond lovers should salivate in glitz heaven.

Stuart Hughes didn't stop with the device. Rather than dump its precious golden iPhone into any old box, the company devised a chest made from a single block of granite. There's also Kashmir gold thrown into the mix, and Nubuck top-grain leather lining its interior. Apparently, the casing alone weighs around 15 pounds.

Currently Stuart Hughes' golden iPhone 3GS costs a whopping £1.92 million... that's almost $3.2 million USD. That's a whole lot of crazy for an iPhone, and with the amount of gold and diamonds loaded onto the device, it's a wonder if anyone would actually dare take it out in public.

The spread of information in this day and age is faster than ever – and so is the connection between people thanks to cell phones.

There is no better example of this other than the quick spread of news of Michael Jackson's death earlier this year, or this story of high school sexting.

Chicago Breaking News reported that police have seized nine cell phones from students in a Plainfield, Il high school after a 16-year-old high school honors student took a "fully nude" photograph of herself and sent it to a male student.

The male student then forwarded the photo onto four of his friends, three of whom went on to forward it to others. Before long the photo spread to hundreds of other students.

As the girl who took and sent her photo is 16, the viewing and forwarding of it are technically violations of child pornography statutes. Police are now investigating the matter with nine cell phones turned over to computer forensic specialists at the Will County Sheriff's Department.

Recently i got so boring tat i tried to hack my psp and it worked~! Phew.
lite999 on the QJ.net forums (a great forum by the way) has posted a brilliant guide teaching us exactly how to install custom firmware on any PSP (PSP 1000, 2000 & 300o) no matter what motherboard they have.

This involves using the ChickHEN .tff exploit on PSP with firmware 5.03 so if you have above that version, I’m afraid this will not work.

Without further ado, here is the guide (all credit goes to Elite999)

How-To install CFW on psp-1000,2000,3000(unhackable mother boards and hackable):

What do you need:

1 – PSP-1000, 2000, or 3000(hackable motherboard or non-hackable
motherboards).

2 – ChickHEN v2 (3495)

3 – 5.03 Firmware Update (1610)

4 – 5.03 GEN-A for HEN (2104)

5 – Patience, yeah if you don’t have, buy some.

Now for the procedure:

1 – If you have 5.03 firmware installed, then skip this step. If you don’t have 5.03 firmware installed on the psp, then download the file supplied above and update your firmware, beware it should be 3.52m33-4 and above. Create a folder called UPDATE in PSP/GAME on your memory stick and place the eboot from the archive into the folder. Run the 5.03 Firmware update from GAME / Memory stick and you will have 5.03. The firmware required to run ChickHEN.

2 – Download the ChickHEN R2 From the download link supplied above. Open the CHickHEN R2 archive.For slim users(psp-2000,3000): place the folder inside Slim with gif images into your PSP memory stick location like so PSP/PHOTO (later it will be PSP/PHOTO/ChickHEN), for fat users(psp-1000): place the folder inside FAT with gif images into your PSP memory stick location like so PSP/PHOTO.

3 – Now place the h.bin into the root of your memory stick pro duo. Where the folders PSP, MUSIC etc are located.

4 – Go back into settings in your psp and turn off UMD Auto-Start and UMD Cache.

5 – Place the memory stick into the PSP, and navigate to your photos folder, and enter the ChickHen folder. Wait, you will see five egg giff images, these will start to load thumbnails. Your PSP may freeze and reset. Just keep retrying and ChickHEN R2 will load upâ€¦.But if you see flashing colors, your PSP will reboot loading the ChickHen.

Now you can only play homebrew games, but for the real fun continue following the guide to install custom firmware on your psp!

6 – Download custom firmware 5.03GEN-A for ChickHen R2 from the download link supplied above.

7 – Connect your PSP to the computer in USB Mode.

8 – Extact the 5.03GEN-A_for_HEN.zip archive for example to your desktop.

9 – Double-click on LAUNCH-ME.exe (GUI) which can be found inside the folder extracted. Now if the program didn’t launch and showed an error, then continue reading this step, if not then continue to the following step. Download .Netframework 2.0, which is the minimal version that can run “LAUNCH-ME.exe”. When the download finishes, install .NET framework.Then launch “LAUNCH-ME.exe (GUI)”. If it still displays an error, just tell me.

10 – Choose options PSP-2000 or PSP-3000 (depends of your PSP). Mode : Choose option FULL. Set driver of your psp for example: G, H, F, etc… It depends on the usb port that the psp is connected to. Click start, the files are being copied to your psp.

11 – Disconnect the PSP from USB. Navigate to the game menu, enter your memorystick, then launch the main EBOOT.PBP.

12 – When the application loads, press L or R to flash the firmware in your flash. YOU ONLY NEED MAKE IT ONE TIME!

13 – Last but not least, press () to reboot in the custom firmware.

You are now in the world of custom firmware. That was a pretty easy trip wasn’t it .Well stay tuned for the DDC 8 tutorial, but not soon.

Notes:

1 – If you shutdown the psp, the psp will not load the custom firmware again. You need to reload ChickHen R2, then launch EBOOT.PBP of GEN-A and press o when you enter the menu.

2 – Because of that, I recommend just using the standby mode.

3 – When you have installed the custom firmware in your flash, you can remove the “files” folder in the MS ROOT.For your own safety, it is better to rename or erase the prx called “flasher.prx” in the MAIN APP folder to avoid wrong flashing times.

4 – If you have a fat psp, then I recommend to install 5.00m33-6 directly using a pandora battery rather than going in all of these procedures.

5 – Don’t ever flash your psp-2000,3000(flash0)(unhacka ble motherboards). This will result in a permanent brick that can’t be fixed until a new way is found.

arh!! Another new month. It has been 1 year since i came here and start working. With a glimpse of eye it has already been 1 year working wth this company. Finally its almost end of year by nw another 2 months of salary marks the end of this year and all ive earned and learned.

The vast majority of PC users still haven't adopted Vista. Eight years after its release--and months after Microsoft officially discontinued it--Windows XP is more beloved than ever. So will Windows 7 convince XP loyalists to switch? Instead of guessing, we decided to ask them. In August, we conducted an online survey of more than 8000 people who told us that XP was their primary OS. The top three reasons they haven't upgraded to Vista: They're comfortable with XP, Vista lacks features that might justify an upgrade, and they're concerned about driver and compatibility issues.

Vistaphobia ran high among respondents who had tried Windows Vista (62 percent said that their opinion of the OS was somewhat or very negative) and among those who merely knew about it (81 percent were somewhat or very negative). But most respondents said that were keeping an open mind about Windows 7.

In fact, the 26 percent of respondents who said they had already used Windows 7 were quite enthusiastic about it: 73 percent said that their opinion of Win 7 was somewhat or very positive, and only 11 percent said that it was very or somewhat negative. Also, 56 percent said that they intended to move to Windows 7 immediately or eventually. Among respondents who had read about Windows 7 but hadn't used it, 56 percent said that their opinion of Win 7 was somewhat or very positive, and only 12 percent said that it was somewhat or very negative.

Still, a meaningful minority of respondents have no interest in upgrading: 40 percent said that they intended to stick with XP indefinitely. Which brings up another interesting question: When will it become impractical to keep using XP and spurning its successors?

Supposedly, that date has already come and gone: Microsoft formally discontinued Windows XP on June 30, 2008, and it ended mainstream support on April 14, 2009. But the company has continued to permit PC builders to offer downgrade discs that let XP fans install the OS over Vista. It says that manufacturers can ship Windows 7 machines with XP downgrades for 18 months after Win 7's release or until it ships the first Service Pack for the new OS--whichever comes first. In other words, XP downgrades may be available until April 22, 2011 (assuming that Microsoft doesn't extend the deadline further; it has already granted XP so many stays of execution that refusing to grant any more would be a bit surprising.)

Windows XP's final death knell is scheduled to sound on April 8, 2014. On that date, Microsoft says that it will no longer take support calls and issue security fixes. This doesn't mean that no one will run XP on April 9 and beyond--it just means that they'll be on their own. XP holdouts, you've been warned.

Turn Vista into Windows 7 for free

Every time Microsoft delivers a new OS it's possible to get many of the features of a Windows upgrade in the previous version of Windows. Windows 7 is no exception. Here's a roundup of a few things you can do to make Windows Vista as Windows 7-like as possible, without shelling out for the new OS.
We'll start out with a couple tweaks, then tell you about four free apps you can download. And a tip of the hat to the amazing Gina Trapani at Lifehacker, from whom I picked up several of these tricks.
First the taskbar. Windows 7 lets you "pin" apps to the taskbar and we can approximate that in Vista. Here's how.
Right-click on your taskbar.
Select toolbars.
And choose Quick Launch.
Now drag the icons you wish to "pin" into the left side of the taskbar.
Right click on the taskbar again and uncheck "lock taskbar."
Now click on the three rows of dots, hold down the mouse, and drag the bar over until you see all your icons.
Now, they look a little small like that, so let's make them bigger. Make sure the taskbar is unlocked.
Now right click on the taskbar again.
Select the view menu and choose large icons.
That's OK. But if you want a real Mac-like dock, forget all that and install RocketDock. It gives you a whole new Macish dock that you can put down at the bottom of the window instead of the taskbar.
But your Windows still looks all Vista-y. One more interface tweak before we move on. Download VistaGlazz 1.3. It's a utility that changes some system files to allow you to implement third-party themes on Vista. Launch VistaGlazz and, if you're sure, agree to allow it to modify your system files. I did it, and had no issues. But I make no guarantee.
Now you need a Windows 7 theme. Go to DeviantArt.com and get "Windows 7 Style for Vista." It should be by giannisgx89.
Download it, uncompress it, and then inside the Windows 7 Style folder, go into the theme folder and find the file called Windows 7 and the folder called Windows 7. Copy both to C:Windows\Resources\Themes\. (You'll need admin access to copy these.)
Now right-click anywhere on your Desktop and select "Personalize." Click on "Theme" and supposedly you can select the Windows 7 theme from the drop-down list. That didn't work for me, so I had to browse to C:Windows/Resources/Themes and choose the Windows 7 theme manually. Once you've got it, press Apply and you have a Windows 7 look!
You can also go to DeviantArt for wallpaper, log-in screens, and other Windows 7ish customization options.
Four free apps and we're done.
In Windows 7, Aero Shake kicks in when you shake an active Window, minimizing all the other windows. You can download a Vista version from LifeHacker for free.
Next you'll want the nifty Win 7 feature that halves the size of a window and docks it to the side of the screen. There's an app for that. It's German and it's called AeroSnap. You can get it at aerosnap.de.vu.
The Windows 7 calculator is also a lovely souped-up thing. Some intrepid hacker has actually pulled it out of Windows 7 and made it available on Box.net. You'll have to do a search to find it. And there's no guaranteeing it will still be there when you do. Is it legal? That's fuzzy. Probably not. But it is cool. Just make sure you back up your Vista calculator if you decide to replace it with this one. Just in case things go sideways on you.
Finally, Windows 7 has a much easier way to select Wi-Fi networks. It's not a perfect match, but NetSetMan from netsetman.com is much better than the default Vista manger and gives you lots of other powerful tools as well.

Lately ive been so interested in ps3 that i feel so so so damn like buying 1 and play it on a dell 24" lcd wth HDMI output Hehe. Here are some of the research ive done about it.

Confirmed: what we know
Specs: The PlayStation 3 will be the first commercial device powered by the ballyhooed Cell processor, a 3.2GHz chip that Sony developed with help from IBM and Toshiba. But it's not the Cell's clock speed that has Kutaragi billing his console as an "entertainment supercomputer"--it's the chip's seven synergistic processing elements (SPEs), which work in parallel to churn out a staggering 218 gigaflops, or 218 billion floating point operations per second. In practice, that should make the PS3 especially adept at such processor-intensive activities as upconverting video and emulating past PlayStation games. Which leads us to...

Backward compatibility: This was one of the first PlayStation 3 features to be confirmed, when the ever-loquacious Ken Kutaragi promised it way back in 2003. So whether this is something that Sony planned all along or a feature it scrambled to implement once Kutaragi bragged about it, the result is the same: you'll be able to play your PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games, right out of the box, on the PlayStation 3. On the minus side, the PS3's backward compatibility will not extend to hardware, so you won't be able to access your saved games unless someone figures out a way to transfer data from a PS2 memory card to the PS3's Memory Stick Duo.

Graphics hardware: Remember how the Cell processor turns 218 billion flops? Well, the PlayStation 3's graphical processing unit (GPU) will crank out 1.8 trillion of them. Dubbed the RSX (short for reality synthesizer), this GPU has a 550MHz clock and pushes its billions of pixels through dual HDMI ports, which output a high-definition signal at up to 1080p. At E3, Jen-Hsun Huang from Nvidia--which designed the RSX for Sony--claimed that the RSX was as powerful as two Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra cards, which is perhaps one reason that speculation on the PS3's price tag has reached, at last count, the stratosphere.

Hard drive: One of the latest details to be confirmed for the PS3 was that the console's hard drive will be an optional accessory instead of an out-of-the-box feature; Ken Kutaragi cleverly spun the omission in Sony's favor by rationalizing that "no matter how much [space] we put in it, it won't be enough." When the hard drive does arrive, it'll carry a Linux-based operating system, which we imagine will coordinate the console's nongaming capabilities.

Blu-ray: Surprise! Sony's next-generation console will use the company's own Blu-ray discs to store high-definition content for games. That means PS3 owners will be getting a "free" Blu-ray player so that they can enjoy movies in full high-definition once they become available. The PS3 will also play standard CDs and DVDs, though it won't accept competing HD-DVD discs. While the Blu-ray format gives the PS3 a leg up on the Microsoft's Xbox 360 (which will store its games on standard DVDs), the future-friendly decision will be yet another excuse to drive up its price.

Peripherals: Like the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Revolution, the PS3 supports multiple wireless controllers. Sony gets props for supporting up to seven simultaneous gamepads, as well as for using the Bluetooth wireless standard. By comparison, Microsoft's console supports only four controllers and uses proprietary wireless transmission, while Nintendo's controllers still lack a final design.

HK Triad Boss Dead

A senior triad was knocked down by a car and hacked to death by three men outside a five-star Hong Kong hotel, police say.

The 41-year-old was attacked outside the Shangri-La hotel in the Kowloon district of the city at 4am (0600 AEST) on Tuesday, a police spokesman said in a statement.

The victim, named in reports as senior triad boss Lee Tai-lung, was hit by the car as he stepped out of his silver Mercedes-Benz after parking it at the hotel, the South China Morning Post said on Wednesday.

"Another vehicle arrived, then several men got out of it and attacked the man with knives," chief inspector Glenn O'Neill of the anti-triad unit told the Post.

Both cars and the attackers fled the scene immediately and a police statement said two burnt-out cars which they believed to be linked to the attack were found a few hours later.

The victim suffered "serious chop wounds to his arms" and was certified dead two hours after the attack, the statement said.

An investigation is now being carried out by the police anti-triad unit, the statement said.

The Post said police were looking for at least five men in connection with the attack.

Lee was a senior member of the Sun Yee On triad group, who held an enforcer role within the group, various reports said, citing unnamed police sources.

About 40 men attended a ritual outside the hotel on Tuesday night, calling out "Come back dai lo (big brother)," the South China Morning Post reported. Triad members usually call their leader "dai lo".

Several triad gangs operate across Hong Kong and Macau and are widely involved in extortion, prostitution, drugs and copyright piracy.

Violence tends to be limited to Chinese areas away from expatriate and tourist areas.

Personally based on this case, i predit a dawn of a senior and Uprising of Junior in the particular Triad!

Just received the news tat my dear gal has finally decided to go curtin perth liaw. Saw her pm Bought a one way ticket and there was no turning back? Lols...no need to have such harsh feeling la....lols ure going to a country which has better enviroment to study..Well y have harsh feeling? Its also an opportunity or a chance to experience life out of family. Well its a chance for u to learn independance but then not independant financially well its also a chance for u to grow. In my opinion 2 hands up for u to go oversea u will learn and grow faster. To share wth u as for me, in this half year i experience many things and grew and also thinked of many things tat were never thought of during my days wth families. It made me a better man. No worries go for it. Its a progress not an ending although if things worked out well there it might be a ending where u will end up staying there but then if its a progess y not? Go out see the world u will kno how small u are. If things aint happening as wat u thinked? Home is always there for u . Cheers!~ its just 2 year~ exclude the missing and home sick thingy life will be great for u ~Great enviroment great weather~ Hehe~~

Wat a relived today just received my recent medical check up and everything was ok.
It was kinda kinteo though going through all those test result.
In the situation after 22 years of living in this human life i think this was the 1st time i went to do a full medical check up. Medical check up is kinda fun! HaHa. Im still so needle paranoid like last time. Lols all my fellow frens should kno. Back in the secondary sch when we were give dunno wat injection lols my face turned white for instant when the nurse injected the fcuking needle into my body. ROFLMAO thinking bout this but then the same thing happened again this time when the medical practitioner pop the freaking needle into me.
But then it was kinda relif after looking through the report.
But then 1 thing tat was not expected and in fact we are tested for was HIV.
LoLs it was an excitement when u go through the report but then reading a negative test result under this aspect really is a relieve.
well at least im free from this untreatable STD at the moment.
Thanx god for keeping me healthy!
Other than this other aspect was normal :
BP is normal (given an unhealthy life and diet and im going through nw.)
Urine was clear. (Dun have unclear substance) HAhah.

To conclude: Medical check up is Fun!!

something without thinking of it's outcome. He is the type of guy with an
inside energizer, so if you fall in love with this type of guy be "patient",
even if you have to follow him a bit. His creative mind could create
fantastic idea any time. If you do not understand or can not follow him, you
won't be with him for long.

A man in this Zodiac will less likely to have a pale skin, and if he has a
scar, it would be on his face or on his head. He moves very fast and very
energetic, and he has a very self confident in himself. He is not the type
to sit down and feel sorry or regret anything for long, especially with

He hardly lies except if he think it is necessary and he is not a good liar

He interests only at the present time and look at the world positively. Many
times he feels hurt because of reality, but he will not run away and he will

main focus, but at the same time he is a kind, cute and polite guy. He
certainly is not a mean person. He likes to help people who are in troubles
even he is not asked to. He is the type who feels sorry if you remember bad
things he said to you that he had already forgotten,but you did not. Belief
him that he is very sorry and give him another chance.

Once he decides to do something, he will put all his mind and energy in it
either in his "Work", or "Love". He is the type who gamble anything in the
casino, so do not even take him there. He does not like pessimistic, low
energy, and depress person, especially no brain. Strangely he like to
overpowered this type of people to assure that he is more superior.

He like to be the first person to do something. You can see sparkling in his
eyes, once he meet a new target or new lover. Once he is in love, he will
act as if he never has love like this before. This minute he could be real
sugar sweet, and later he could also be an icy cold, but do not blame him
for that will only chase him away. He could fall in love again with another
girl and act again like he never has this kind of love before.He could
really love someone, but not a heart broken type for he thinks love is
"excitement" and "Love goes on".

If you date this kind of guy, do not or avoid showing your face to him with
face pack, face mask, always be presentable, nice and cute. If he is quiet
not because he is shy, but he is only quietly thinking. If you have a chance
to ask his X-girlfriend, she will tell you that he is not a shy or quiet
type. If he is really and truly in love with you, he will never lie to you
at all. How do you know if he loves you, bet on your faith! Love him and
treat him steadily and do not try to find anything to argue with him, he
will be with you for sure.

If you are his lover or girlfriend and need to tell him something, go and
say it out loud and straight forward because he hate long boring story. He
hate to play games, chasing for love or being chased, so let him call you
first. He likes a confident woman who also a good follower. If he gets mad
at you, let him be for only a short time he will be normal again. You have
to like and be able to get along with his friends, but he does not have to
do so with all your friends.

Don't ever think you could make him jealous by flirting with other man, he
will just leave instead of making a scene because he is a confident man and
has to be the first in everything.

Human's Unlimited Needs,wants, and Desire

One of the theory of life i learnt after 3 months of working life. Sitting in front of the computer during duty hours, Doing self evaluation session as said by jasmine. Jasmine~!Finally i listen to wat u said always do self evaluation. Suddenly this topic come into my mind and its something about human's unlimited wants. What came into my mind is y issit humans wants cannot be fully satisfied? There is always more and more after u achieved wat u have planned. Is there any end? One of the real experience that i can share wth u all will be 1 of my own experience and wat makes me thinks like tat. This is how it goes:
Thinking back the time when i was studying, My dad gave me few hundred bucks per months and my life was like perfect everything was good no worries got money life was like WoW~Life is good~
Till nw ive starting to earn money, it seems to be far more better as the salary i receive is like many times more comparing to what my daddy use to give me as pocket money but it seems i dun have the feeling of feeling great cuz of earning more than wat i used to take as pocket money but another weird question pop up of my mind and recently ive been thinking of this question throughly and hopping any1 out there can clear it out for me.
Based on the situation that im experiencing, i started to think that how much does a person need to earn per month and that person can say its enough?
To me i think that no matter how much u earn per month its still not enough for u
How come last time my daddy give me few hundred bucks as pocket money i felt its not enough
But now i still feel its not enough?
Does that means although i earn 10k per month i will also feel its not enough?
Haha~well its up to u all readers~Clear it out for me
It seems there lots more to learn in this circle of life this is just the starting and only 1 of the theory among millions of theory.

ROME - A TEAM of Franciscan archaeologists digging in the biblical town of Magdala in what is now Israel say they have unearthed vials of perfume similar to those that may have been used by the woman said to have washed Jesus' feet.

The perfumed ointments were found intact at the bottom of a mud-filled swimming pool, alongside hair and make-up objects, the director of the dig conducted by the group Studium Biblicum Franciscanum told the Terrasanta.net religious website.

'If chemical analyses confirm it, these could be perfumes and creams similar to those that Mary Magdalene or the sinner cited in the Gospel used to anoint Christ's feet,' Father Stefano de Luca, the lead archaeologist, told the website.

The 20-something girl from Zhuhai city in Guangdong province was treated by hospital doctors after completely losing the hearing in her left ear.

What actually happened?
The kiss reduced the pressure in the mouth, pulled the eardrum out and caused the breakdown of the ear.

Extended explanation
A strong kiss may cause an imbalance in air pressure between the two inner ears and lead to a broken ear drum.

Finally,
the woman's hearing would likely recover in about two months.
